Safe Dental Care
Our commitment to a safe, welcoming dental care experience
As we ease back into things, nothing is more important to us than your health, safety and comfort. We’re doing all we can to ease your mind when you come into our office. These are the additional steps we’re taking to ensure the health and safety of you, our valued patient, and the staff in our office. In addition to our normal standard of care that meets or exceeds OSHA, ADA and CDC guidelines, we’ve implemented the following;
Advanced Staff Training
Everyone on our staff has been trained and is well-versed in additional awareness and prevention techniques, including no-contact measures, enhanced office procedures and patient awareness.
Patient Advocates
Your hygienist or dental assistant will greet you outside of the entryway and take you directly to your room. We will ensure that the halls and waiting room are completely empty when you enter and leave our dental office.
Handshake- and Hug-free Zone
As sad as that sounds, it’s only until things get back to normal. We love our patients and want you to feel welcome and valued - but we’ll have to settle for a heart-felt welcome and goodbye for the time being.
Patient Scheduling
To avoid busy waiting rooms and treatment rooms, we’re scheduling patients one at a time. That means we’re not seeing as many patients, but it gives us more time between visits to clean and prepare for our next appointment.
Virtual Waiting Room
When you arrive for your appointment, you can check in from your car. We’ll call you in when ready and you’ll bypass the waiting room, straight to the treatment room.
Social Distancing
A re-imagined waiting room that, ideally, isn’t used as a waiting room, plus a single-patient schedule and no cross-traffic through the office keeps things safely separate.
N95 Masks
Our smiling eyes will greet you when you visit - because our smiles will be covered with N95 masks that meet the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health classification.
Face Coverings
All patients and office personnel will wear face coverings at all times in the general spaces of the office facility.
CDC-approved Instrument Sterilization
This is actually not new. Anything that goes in, or near your mouth is thoroughly cleaned with heat and pressure between every use.
Patient Pre-screen
Every patient is given a quick health questionnaire and consent form along with a no-touch temperature check upon arrival.
Oral Antibacterial Mouth Rinse
We’ll provide you with a powerful solution to rinse in your mouth for 60 seconds before your care begins. This will reduce bacteria in your mouth.
Elevated Personal Hygiene
Our office staff is practicing an elevated level of personal hygiene; short hair or worn-up long hair, no long fingernails, no jewelry and no watches for any office staff while in the office.
Daily Team Health Checks
Each day, all of our staff is checked by taking no-contact temperatures and asking a few questions about their health to make sure everyone is willing and able to perform safe, comfortable and effective dental care that day, and every day.
Extended Appointments
We’re offering extra long appointments when needed to save you time and reduce the number of times you need to leave your home. We do our best to perform more dentistry in a single visit, combining treatments and procedures whenever possible.
At-risk Patient Hours
Our patients who are at greater risk, medically-concerned or mature of age can schedule time during our dedicated appointment blocks. We are as concerned for your health as you are, and do everything possible to ease your mind as you come in for your dental appointment.
Teledentistry
We’re able to perform consultations and follow-up visits online so you don’t need to leave your home. This is a great way to find out if you need to come in - without first coming in!
Thorough Cleaning
After each appointment, we super-clean the exam room and all surfaces, sanitizing and disinfecting everything so each patient has a clean safe office visit.
End-of-day Deep Clean
At the end of each day, we do a deep clean and of the entire office, making sure everything gets a top-to-bottom scrub down.
Disposable, Protective Coats and Hats
When needed and appropriate, our staff will add another layer of protection to minimize absorption of airborne particles in the office.
No Office Tours
We’re not allowing any non-essential office traffic, including tours. However, we’re always proud to show off our beautiful office photos in our gallery!
Hospital-grade Hand Sanitation
Each patient that comes into the office is asked to thoroughly disinfect their hands at our sanitizing station before entering the clinical area of the office.
No magazines or activities
If you do spend time in our waiting room, you’ll find it a little bare for now. But maybe a little “you” time isn’t so bad after all.
